It appears that the
USL1 Shitty Stars are up for sale! According to a source, team executive director Aaron
Tredway claims to have held discussions with two prospective buyers. The price tag is estimated to be close to $400,000,
including a $75,000 payment due the league. The deadline for
USL1
franchises to renew is today, September 1st. If the Cleveland City Stars are unable to find a buyer, they are likely to move back down into the
USL's second division for the 2010 season.
Who knows how things are going to shake down with the USL being sold to NuRock and many USL clubs testing the waters...but it looks like the Shitty Stars will once again be playing the Hounds. I am stoked about the possibility!
